Rodgers on radio show said that Nike had agreed this year to make the regular yellow pants out of the same material as the brown pants of the throwback uniform. Apparently every player on the team thinks its a far more comfortable fabric. And this probably explains the strong performance in the last 5 games.

Plus the lower injury total.

And further... the accusation that the offensive posts are "off topic" is bullshit. When I posted a clip of Kennedy's worst day, it was a parody of the over-the-top analysis of a hands-to-helmet penalty. The cornerback jokes were also not off topic.

This is a big one. I tried to explain that to my girlfriend, and she said, "honey, you say that about every game."

Is it worth trying to explain further, or is she right?

You have the troll's causation backward. I am not against off-topic at all. I like off topic very much. However, itching to start an argument over stray comments on hot button topics so that an argument erupts is not my idea of fun. And its not popular, at least judging by those who have left.

So posters are left with two choices: complain and take the thread further off point or let it go. Sometimes no one takes the bait and letting it go works, unnoticed. But sometimes someone grabs the bait and initiates a four hour/day/week fight to land the marlin in the boat. That has also happened countless times and results in threads being moved and accounts getting suspended. That is the basic reasoning for the Packers forum to be about Packer topics only.

However, its simple to bypass that rule with a slightly off-topic post and a bit of cleverness to inject an entirely different debate into the thread. Trolling for someone to have an emotional over-reaction.

That's what he does and in my view, risking his participation to increase liveliness in the forum, is not a good idea.

All games are important, but with the way the season has shaken out (both Packers and Eagles in second place), this one IS more important. Four losses won't disqualify them, but this game would help in a lot of ways.
