It seems that Mexicans no like play defense. Sorta like white people. But there have been a few thumpers.
Manny Fernandez was defense tackle for the Dolphins 70s dynasty, famous for dominant performance
in three straight Super Bowl wins, 28 tackles and 3 sacks.
Donnie Edwards was a 13-year linebacker who retired in 2006. He made pro bowl once.
Tony Casillas was the best of brown bunch, a pro bowl tackle from the 90s.
Jack Del Rio and Ron Rivera were black-and-blue division linebackers. They both can pass as Mexicans.

Mexican-Americans have the wrong body type for playing defensive back. The Aztec and Mayan phenotypes are short and squatty. Not especially fast, and not good at all at change of direction. The ones who grow big become offensive linemen (think Roberto Garza, Antonio Muñoz) or defensive linemen (Luis Castillo).Comment
