Doug Marrone of Buffalo opts out of his contract after 2 years.

I don't know who the GM is there, but he's had a bad last few years.One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

I think it was a classic miscalculation: GM assumed he could replace losses of major players to free agency via signing free agents and draft picks. The trouble is it not only didn't work out but it destroyed the team chemistry.
