Adam Gase hopes to become a head coach soon, but he might settle to be an offensive coordinator for another season. A team in need of a boost could get lucky if Gase falls through the cracks.

Agree with you. Plus Buff doesn't even have a 1st rounder this year due to a trade to get Sammy Watkins. Orton retired so they have no QB. That team is going to be a mess on offense next year.Originally posted by Guiness View PostI can't believe Rex took that job, I can't see it working for him. Bills have a damn good defense, how much can he really improve it? There is no offense to speak of in place, and I doubt it will improve by his hand. Maybe he brings in Trestman and it clicks? I don't see how this works out for Rex or the Bills, and think it was a very bad hire. All hail the Ruler of the Meadow!

Technically under contract but free to take a lateral position elsewhere, Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase may still be getting a promotion in Denver.

Is the dog wagging the tail or is it the other way around in Denver?
John Elway doesn't need money to remain strong? He has players to sign and he gets there or he pays for more of what he got from Peyton Manning over the last three seasons.
If I was him the experiment would be over and I'm looking for a long term answer at QB. Let Peyton Manning set his much desired NFL records with some 'Sucker team'.
I'm not a Peyton Manning fan. Too often I've seen him deep in the Red Zone pass for a TD and ignore his RB. He's about the records 'a me first now' NFL player. It's been that way and Peyton Manning for obviously too long. In my view he's now far worse than Brett Favre ever was. He's a busted record pursuing his need of records. A worn out playoff loser and you need to be a part of a team with a common desire before any individual desire.
The Denver Broncos went all in last season and looked marvelous on paper. That failed again and now John Elway needs the good sense to say 'no more' to Peyton Manning. It's that or John Elway and the Denver fans might prepare to witness Peyton Manning's tenth one and done in next season if the Broncos make the playoffs.
On the flip side I say bring him back John ! Show us that your not the GM that Denver needs.Last edited by woodbuck27; 01-15-2015, 06:47 PM.** Since 2006 3 X Pro Pickem' Champion; 4 X Runner-Up and 3 X 3rd place.

Fox is a solid, if not elite coach, and a clear upgrade over Trestman. He's taken 2 teams to Super Bowls. Yes, he had Manning last year, but he did it with Jake Delhomme as his QB in Carolina. That said, the Bears have a lot of problems. He will have a chance for some success there only if the new GM knows what he is doing.Originally posted by Smidgeon View PostWhy does John Fox in Chicago not scare me?I can't run no more

Ryan Pace comes from a pretty successful run in N.O (2002 to present, in control of pro personnel and then scouting the last few years). I anticipate a pretty effective and stable tenure there for Pace and Fox. Yes it looks like John Fox 'a winner overall' will be the next Chicago Bears HC.
It's being reported that John Fox might select Kyle Shanahan as his OC. Kyle Shanahan looks like a good choice to work with Jay Cutler.
Evidently in some cases in the NFL QB's still run the show.** Since 2006 3 X Pro Pickem' Champion; 4 X Runner-Up and 3 X 3rd place.

He has, for the most part, been a good coach at getting a team back to competence (.500). He helped stabilize Denver's defense, though I suspect that he and JDR were both pretty chafed by Elway signing a bunch of names on defense and dropping them into their laps. Defenses (and teams) are best built, not bought, and Chicago's defense is just about out of parts. Kyle Fuller looks like a player, but they have a lot of work to do. His (and Pace's) first year are going to be spent re-stocking and rebuilding the defense to even move that unit back into the 15-20 range.Originally posted by mraynrand View PostRyan Pace comes from a pretty successful run in N.O (2002 to present, in control of pro personnel and then scouting the last few years).
