It's likely far better for him to get out of there. He inherited a team in trouble with a QB that I can't see any NFL team enamoured with. He's the HC and not the Bears GM.
He tried to work with Jay Cutler. He didn't $$$Extend$$$ Cutler.
He's not responsible for the Bears situation on the defensive side of the ball.
This decision sucks for Marc but I believe overall it's for his best interests to get the "H" out of Chicago.

I just learned on the NFL Network that da Bears have made a sudden move to BENCH Jay Cutler and NFL Sources are saying that the Organization will make every effort to unload Cutler and his huge contract this off season that includes $15.5 M$. The BEARS are done with Jay Cutler and want him gone at any cost.
Moving past Jay Cutler.
The word is it will be Jimmy Clausen as the starter Vs Detroit this week.

Maybe Marc Trestman may be saved after all. This may be a bid by the Bears GM, HC and OC and a group think to switch fron Jay Cutler to try to save their jobs?
I believe that the best answer in Chicago is get rid of Jay Cutler. This time it's the player THAT MUST GO !

It looks like New York Jets owner Woody Johnson will deliver the knock out punch to both Rex Ryan and Jets GM John Idzik.
The clue that this will 'in fact' be the case is Johnson's hiring of Charlie Casserlly and his reaching out to former Packer GM Ron Wolf to try and mend things in the jets organization.

Bears quarterback Jay Cutler’s predictions regarding the team’s future could end up being a lot more accurate than many of his passes this year.
Cutler recently acknowledged that “everyone could get axed.” There’s chatter in league circles that that could indeed be the case.
By “everyone,” the scuttlebutt includes everyone. From coach Marc Trestman to G.M. Phil Emery to team president Ted Phillips, who has held the position for nearly 16 years.
