The Bears Can Dump Jay Cutler's Contract After The Season

      By: Brian Rauf | Nov 10, 2014

      Comment woodbuck27:

It looks to me like Marc Trestman is all but done in Chicago. It seems prudent to me that the Bears look to replace Jay Cutler as well.

The Bears have to re-build. Top to bottom and on both sides of the ball (especially on 'D') the team needs work.

Superb Players like RB Matt Forte WR Alshon Jeffrey are wasted with their current offense. Why?

The main cog or QB Jay Cutler seems to be on some other planet a lot of the time.

        The Bears continue to suck.

I am fervently rooting for a Lions' upset at the hands of Lovie's lowly Bucs, but that is unlikely. More than that, I am rooting for a Packer win. And a Seattle loss.

So, we're Eagles, Chiefs, Raiders and TB fans today, eh?

Seattle-Philly game is weird in that objectively, Philly losing gives the Packers some breathing room for home field. But no one wants Seattle close enough to risk a road playoff game there and they own the tiebreaker with the Pack.

Best of worlds Arizona to stay ahead of Hawks but loses an in conference game in coming weeks. Ideally, they lose to 49ers and beat the Hawks. But that is really trying to thread a needle.

Bruce Arians is a hell of a coach, but I can't see them holding off Seattle. They're facing 4 tough defenses without their starting QB. Packers may need to run the table to get the #1 seed.

Cardinals may have issues rest of the way. Ellington has a hip pointer and a sports hernia. He may be headed to IR (per PFT). Add to that Stanton's inconsistent play, that D can't do everything for them.

I want Seattle to lose out. If they win today, that could be a bad omen because they could end up with home field advantage again given wins over GB and possibly Philly.

Niners have at OAK, at SEA, SD and AZ. Seachickens have @PHI, SF, @AZ, STL. AZ could fold because I don't see them beating either SF or SEA the way that offense has been. SF, IMO, would go 2-2 (3-1 at best), where SEA could go 3-1 (possibly 4-0). AZ will probably go 2-2 at best (more than likely getting swept by SEA)

Then it's easy to see we need to go '4' more wins.

Plan for and play every game like it's playoff's, 'sudden death'.

Our best chance for Seattle to lose a game is probably today in Philly. We presently have a one game lead on Seattle so if they stumble today we can still lose a game this season and still end up with the #1 seed in the NFC if we end up with a tie with the Eagles.

Agree, Woody. The good thing about this is that they have keep pushing and playing for something instead of resting players. Not that that's the worst thing, but I think it keeps the Packers sharper.

Take care of their own business, like the media cliches go, and the Packers will have a first round bye.

After a pick six by Vikes, Jets have retaken lead. WOW, Carolina already up by 10 on Saints at Superdome.

Saints getting killed by Carolina. Never thought that Saints would be a turnover machine vs. Carolina. Not out of the 1st yet and they have a fumble and an INT.

That defense doing it to Brees makes no sense. They getting a lot of pressure?

If things haven't changed since the 70s, losing to the Bengals sets off tornado sirens in Pittsburgh. People should prepare and get to the basement.
