I wrote that tongue in cheek. The team has to simply re-evaluate.

Did the organization error? Jumping too fast to award Kaepernick for almost winning the prize?

Whatever the 49ers are invested in Kaepernick.

The 49ers seemed to have a bigger window of opportunity with their outstanding OL and overall offense and a solid 'D' compared to most every other NFL team. Their drop off this season to the bottom half of NFL teams is dramatic.
