  • Assistant Coach leaving the Packers

    We hardly knew ya!

    http://www.packersnews.com/story/spo...jets/22185759/

Assistant OL coach Steve Marshall. I find this kind of interesting, because he has been there only one year. Typically, all Assistant coaches are on two-year contracts. So, either he came only on a one year contract, or the Packers didn't stand in his way pursuing something different.

I just remembered, this is the guy we discussed last fall. He changes jobs every year or two on a regular basis. He has had 18 changes in employment since 1979.

I'm sure we can come up with something related to this Steve Marshall
Steve Marshall is a magician and former Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus clown who performs in English and Japanese.

I would love to know what he, or the Packers, wanted to learn in the year he was here. Maybe he is an injury good luck talisman.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Perhaps using a good health talisman in a year following good health is, in fact, bad luck?

21 job changes in 35 years. He loves to move.

The Packers OL was impressive this season. Assistant OL Coach Steve Marshall has some role in that.
