      1. LEONARD WILLIAMS | USC 6045|302 lbs|3JR Daytona Beach, Fla. (Mainland HS) 6/20/1994 (age 20) #94

BACKGROUND: A four-star defensive line recruit out of high school, Leonard “Big Cat” Williams narrowed his college choice to USC or Florida, choosing to head west and commit to the Trojans. He made an immediate impact as a true freshman defensive tackle in 2012 (nine starts) with 64 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss and a careerhigh 8.0 sacks, earning Pac-12 Freshman of the Year honors. Williams started 13 games as a sophomore defensive end in 2013, recording 74 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss and 6.0 sacks, earning First Team All-Pac 12 honors and multiple All-American nods. He started all 13 games in 2014 as a junior and led the team in sacks (7.0) and forced fumbles (three), recording 80 tackles and 9.5 tackles for loss, earning First Team All-Pac 12 and All-American honors. Williams elected to bypass his senior season for the 2015 NFL Draft.

STRENGTHS: Well-built frame with broad shoulders, long arms and growth potential…above average flexibility and fluidity in his joints, hips and lower body to turn the edge and flatten like an edge rusher 50 pounds lighter…quick first step to attack gaps before blockers can react…rolls his hips at contact, punching in an upward motion to lift and toss blockers, converting speed to power…strings moves together, using grown man power, natural leverage and body control to maneuver through blocks and finish in the backfield – uses his upper and lower halves simultaneously and effectively…aggressive and active hands to swim and swat, using arm over/under technique…terrific range for the position with pursuit skills and closing burst to chase down ballcarriers from behind…excellent backfield vision and field awareness, recognizing offensive tendencies and knocking down passes at the line of scrimmage (nine career passes defended and two interceptions)…highly intelligent and anticipates well to put himself in position to make plays…scheme versatile with experience playing inside and outside…toughs out injuries and still effective when not at full health…finished second on the team in tackles the last two seasons with consistent production…level-headed and coachable with mature work ethic to take advantage of his natural gifts.

WEAKNESSES: Allows blockers to attack his breast plate and needs to keep his pad level low off the snap…inconsistent snap anticipation, late moving off the ball too often…average initial punch and needs to improve his timing…raw pass rush mechanics and needs to refine his rush moves – too predictable on tape…lacks ideal base strength in the run game and can be driven on his heels, struggling to sink-and-anchor…will abandon the edge and doesn’t consistently reset the line of scrimmage…minor durability concerns, missing one game as a sophomore with a right shoulder injury (Nov. 2013) that required postseason surgery to repair his torn labrum and kept him from lifting during the pre-draft process – played through a high left ankle sprain and sore left shoulder most of 2014.

SUMMARY: Due to his size, Williams couldn’t play football until high school (played rugby growing up) and played for three defensive coordinators and three defensive line coaches over his three years at USC so he is still a work-in-progress in several areas. But he has the body control and movement skills that cannot be taught with the natural size and strength to create havoc for blockers. Williams has versatile experience, lining up inside and outside on USC’s multiple fronts, which helped develop his versatility to fit any NFL scheme – best suited as a five technique in a 3-4 or three technique in a 4-3. He tends to wear himself out at times and needs to improve his snap anticipation, but plays through pain and is still a better player at 80% health than most others at full health. Williams isn’t yet a finished product, but he has all the physical and athletic ingredients to be a Pro Bowl caliber player if he becomes more consistent on each snap – the top-rated prospect in the 2015 class with sky high NFL potential and a high floor.

            Bears take Kevin White.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Can the Jets score more than 10-14 points a game with their offense?

                  2. KEVIN WHITE | West Virginia 6025|215 lbs|4SR Plainfield, N.J. (Emmaus HS) 6/25/1992 (age 22) #11

BACKGROUND: White was a stand-out in high school, but didn’t have the grades and enrolled at Lackawanna College (Pa.) where he played two seasons and attracted the attention of several FBS schools, deciding to transfer to West Virginia over Texas Tech due to the offensive system and proximity to home. He started nine games as a junior in 2013, recording 35 catches for 507 yards and five scores. With a full year under his belt, White emerged as one of college football’s best wide receivers as a senior, finishing third in the FBS in catches (109) and sixth in receiving yards (1,447) in 2014, earning First Team All-Big 12 honors and several AllAmerican nods. White was invited to the 2015 Senior Bowl and initially accepted before deciding not to play.

STRENGTHS: Well-built for the position with good height and length…smooth athleticism in his patterns and after the catch, reaching his top speed quickly with excellent route acceleration…natural body control and outstanding concentration through the catch to be a reliable finisher…above average ballskills and adjustment skills to elevate and attack with power and a physical attitude – at his best highpointing in jump ball situations even with defenders draped all over him, plucking the ball away from his body with suction hands…efficient route runner with dynamic moves at the top of his routes, stacking cornerbacks and using body leverage to play the ball – emphatic depth and stems to sell and fool defenders…doesn’t slow at the catch point with the hand/eye coordination to secure in stride…good body strength to run through arm tackles and fight for every yard, keeping his momentum going forward and pumping his legs to fight for every inch…improved decisionmaker and reactive vision after the catch, showing nifty moves and sharp cuts to read blocks and create – knows where the sticks are…aggressive and willing blocker with a strong competitive spirit…gives consistent effort on and off the field as a student of the game…top shelf production as a senior, becoming the second player in program history to eclipse 1,400 receiving yards in a season and third player to hit triple digit receptions in a single season.

WEAKNESSES: Relies on his acceleration downfield, lacking ideal burst to create clear separation…won’t dance his way out of trouble or consistently make defenders miss in small spaces…shows the foot quickness to beat press at the line of scrimmage with a nice outside-in move, but rarely challenged or jammed in the Big 12 – methodical off press, counting his steps and not using his hands…will round some routes and needs to iron out some wrinkles with his patterns…good effort blocker, but struggles to consistently sustain and will get caught holding down the field…although it doesn’t happen often, he will have focus drops off his hands…only one year of top production in an offensive system that creates a number of opportunities.

SUMMARY: The best receiver in this draft class at attacking the ball, White is never truly covered with his ability in jump-ball situations to track and highpoint – high success rate in contested situations. He is a much improved route runner with an understanding of how to stack defenders and work back to the ball with excellent coordination. White lacked polish in 2013, but his light bulb is now at full glow – although his timed speed doesn’t always translate to the field, the game doesn’t move too fast for him. He doesn’t have the sudden burst to instantly create separation when he wants, but White has the instincts, ballskills and competitive nature needed to be a No. 1 target in a NFL offense – one of the top-seven players in the 2015 NFL Draft.

                            • When Cutler is your QB, you take a WR early even though your defense is horrible.

why? so cutler has another weapon he can't get the ball to?

honestly, the guy we draft tonight probably has a better chance of catching a cutler throw
