  • Anthony Davis Retires from 49ers

The 49ers have also lost Chris Borland, Patrick Willis and Justin Smith to retirements this offseason.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

    Couldn't have happened to a nicer team/fanbase.
No longer the member of any fan clubs. I'm tired of jinxing players out of the league and into obscurity.

Maybe they all become coaches for Michigan?

Anthony Davis was a below average starter anyway. Not much of a loss, just another straw in the haystack.

Man, they lost a herd of players this off-season.

They probably needed to retool after Hairball went back home, but yeah, it couldn't have happened to a nicer bunch of jerk-offs.

49ers' Eric Reid has considered retiring because of concussions http://wp.me/p14QSB-9MWi

I think the 49ers have secretly initiated a buy-out or early retirement.

VIDEO: #49ers head coach Jim Tomsula not concerned with Aldon Smith's injury http://bit.ly/1KqGswp #NFL #49ersTalk

Its official. Jim Harbaugh sold Jed York's soul to the Devil. Trent Balke and Jim Tomsula's job is to get it back.

Although 49ers offensive tackle Anthony Davis's decision to walk away at age 25 has been termed a retirement, Davis says he's not done playing football for good.

Sounds like Davis wants a year off more than anything. He's a decent RT. You have to wonder if there was something in the SF team culture or the way they practiced. Remember McGinn's battle cry for bigger, tougher and few seasons back? Could this be the result?
