Vinatieri's mother??? WTF does she have to do with anything? I mean, I know Italian mothers can be controlling, but wow. She's not his agent or anything, is she?

For those of you who follow the NHL, a few years ago Eric Lindros was traded patially because his parents interfered in everything, going to so far as to call the GM about his linemates...it wasn't the only reason, but it certainly played a part.

Well, people do talk with their mothers. While the NFL is filled secrecy somebody's mother may or may not know enough to lie when asked a question. I mean, if I broke my foot my mother would hear about it pretty fast. If someone asked her she'd say "my son broke his foot" without thinking this is top secret stuff. (were I in the NFL of course....I wish I were a kicker in the NFL but that's a different story)
