Deal is not done yet but #Packers WR James Jones is on his way to GB, set to meet with the brass.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

But we all know how TT works. Jones is coming in today, but tomorrow the papers will say he left without signing a contract.

That's fresher than I look in the airport.

I wish he had arrived wearing his old packer jersey. I like a little chutzpah.

Fuck that. Put him up at a hotel and give him a tab at the Applebees. Never know when you might need him!

As for the Adidas threads, maybe he's got an endorsement.

When you leave with class and dignity, you will be welcomed back; and you can walk in with your head held high.
GB is probably glad to see him, and I bet he is glad to be back.

I'll bet Arod is really happy. Myles White, not so much.

Probably the chance of JJ signing with GB is about 15%, with 3% standard deviation.

But it is interesting possibility. Or as Max would say, probability of possibility, possibly.

The wild cards we have not yet been told of are Cobb's shoulder and Montgomery's hamstring. Could be that one or both will not be ready to go against the Bears, and they need both White and Jones. The roster opening for Jones could come from somewhere other than the ranks of the WRs, at least for now.

I REALLY want this to happen, so I'm sure it won't. But if it does, barring injury I will go out on a limb and say Jones makes a huge impact.

So say they sign Jones and he plays well, do they keep him when everyone else is healthy? IMO that will depend on how he is playing and how much Rodger's feels he needs him.

If the photo is Jones in GB, its a mostly a done deal. Why else would he be here? He signed a vet minimum contract with the Giants, so I doubt there is much negotiation needed on terms. Could be that they will want to run him through a practice first, but otherwise I think he will be signed.

I wish Jennings had been more like Jones after he left town.
