Vikings have to be disappointed with that showing. On offense they fell far short of what I imagined Teddy and AP together would look like. Teddy would have looked a lot better had the refs not taken away his perfect bomb to Wallace. He spread the ball around check down after check down but something is fundamentally off where he can throw a gem like that one to Wallace in the end zone but then miss others so badly. Peterson looked like the same old Peterson but he didn't get enough snaps to show it. They pulled him every 3rd down and perhaps coincidently they were horrible on 3rd down without him. He's not a great receiver or blocker but they've got to find a way to keep him on the field for his legs alone.

On defense the Vikes got exponentially worse as the game went on. I'm not looking forward to playing Kaepernick again.

Maybe because every time he called an inside run the Falcons threw Philly's guards to the side and blew up the play?

        Allen Barbre everyone!
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Lot of Vikes fans here in MN are really crushed after this one. There was a lot of talk about an easy 10-14 pt win for MN.

Jarryd Hayne's debut got some coverage from Australian correspondent Matt Cleary at the Guardian. It was a hit on the Internet.

With former Australian rugby league star Jarryd Hayne making his NFL debut, The Guardian assigned a Sydney-based journalist to live blog the event—hilariously.

The last line of this from the Aussie blog should go on Jim Tomsula's tombstone

              Wondering about Charles Johnson?

Does Charles Johnson still play for the Vikings?

              Hey! It's Charles Johnson!

I looked at the box score and they had Charles Johnson 2-27, and Cordarrelle Patterson 1-1. I thought this was the long awaited deep threat duo the Vikings were waiting for?

Thanks for the laugh this morning pb!
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

                    • I didn't see the game. Is Peterson old now, rusty, or was the 49er defense decent?

You mean when he had an amazing running game and a good defense?

                        • Well, that Pro Football Perspective article was right. Losing your center isn't going to end your offense. But two struggling tackles might.

This season, I will be writing weekly articles at The Washington Post. My first article looks at how valuable Maurkice Pouncey is to the Steelers. Pittsburgh center Maurkice Pouncey suffered a severe lower leg injury in an Aug. 23 preseason game against the Green Bay Packers, landing the team’s top offensive lineman

I watched it and I'm still not sure. He had a play or two where he looked like the AP of fold but he didn't get many chances.

                              • I think Peterson's still Peterson he just had 10 carries. Commit to the run and eventually he'd rip off a few 20 yarders and make his stats look better.
