I don't love the matchup with their offense anymore. Since we last played them they've gained [s]not[/s] one [s]but two[/s] pro bowl TEs. Their only good WR is a slot guy and then obviously there's the ground threat of Lynch and Wilson. Its like they were designed to feast on the soft underbelly of the Packers defense. I hope our inside jag-backers are ready for a challenge. Having Burnett ready to go would be nice.
Fixed. I didn't realize Zach Miller failed his physical. Yikes.

I don't think its scarier overall, just scarier for us. I wouldn't expect Unger's loss to be noticed as much in the running game as the passing game. Especially since that Nowak guy looks like a mauler.

Just keep the ball away from Lockett on punts. And hope they can take Lynch down.

...I'll probably be buying quite a bit of Graham and Lynch in DFS this week.

Lockett is the real deal. (Excellent slot receiver too.) If Masthay kicks him a low liner, watch out.
One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

Well, each O lineman was already hurt.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Offer the Texans - Hundley, Adams and two first rounders for JJ Watt. Texans aren't going anywhere soon. Would help them rebuild.

Couldn't part with Adams this season. Not with Jordy out. And couldn't afford Watt. But, frankly, sending two firsts for Watt seems like a bargain when you consider we've spent first rounders on guys like Derek Sherrod and Nick Perry. Datone might be in that category, also.

It would take a Herschel Walker deal to get Watt

No doubt. Prohibitively expensive just in terms of draft picks. Then you've also got to pay him.

so this is the week I'd have expected AR to throw for under 200 yards....

I think the one big area where Nelson being out shows up is when plays break down and Nelson isn't running to an opening that AR is looking at. It seemed like there were always a couple times a game AR scrambled and found Nelson extending a route for a big play.

McCarthy: I'm hopeful that Morgan (Burnett) practices today.

I don't know how carefully M3 parses his own assessments, but hopeful in the past has meant "not gonna happen".

I'm hopeful that Drew Barrymore will go out with me.

I am hopeful that the Packers can contain Lynch without hemorrhaging yardage on the edge with the QB option and the jet sweep.

The curse of Walden lives. Dude couldn't set the edge for anything and we still can't manage to do it today.
