  • Jones is no difference maker.

AFAIK, Ted has still not activated Datone Jones from suspended list yet.

Can the packers appeal to the NFL to increase his suspension for a week?

Honestly, I'd rather see the Packers hold-on to all their players for another week, maybe an injury will open-up a spot. Jones is not much better than any of the D-lineman, from what I've seen in past.

Whups - bye bye Barrington. There's your roster spot.

Not good, not good at all.

Move him to ILB that doesn't have to cover...
Swede: My expertise in this area is extensive. The essential difference between a "battleship" and an "aircraft carrier" is that an aircraft carrier requires five direct hits to sink, but it takes only four direct hits to sink a battleship.

Datone Jones's role seems to be decreasing to situational inside pass-rushing specialist.

So he needs to start getting some sackage.

Drives me nuts when the Packers play a team that is touted as having a mess of an offensive line (all that reading about the Bears' O-line this week that I did), yet when it's time for the Packers to rush the passer, suddenly the other side is the Berlin Wall.

Holy Jamal Reynolds, Batman! It's time for Datone to show out that UCLA magic.

That's pretty much what he is. He's one of the best on the Packers at getting pressure. Probably leads the team in "almost sacks". Just doesn't seem to be able to finish the QB off. Still, others probably benefit from the pressure he creates.

That's by far the most positive view I've ever read about DJ. I really don't have a strong opinion, hope you are on your meds and correct with this. Modest pressure would be fine, he doesn't need to be a sack master.

Stole most of it from McGinn. Wish he were a little more stout against the run so he could play base. He doesn't weigh any more now than when they drafted him. I wonder if the Packers thought he would get bigger and stronger when they drafted him.
