As a sports bettor this is a classic dog play. Win a big conference game (NFC anyway) that was marked on the calendar on prime time only to let down the next week against a solid team that you should handle.
The Rams fell into it this week (minus prime time, but division) when they laid an egg against the Bucs. It happens a lot in the NFL and was my primary betting criteria for many years. Clearly I won't bet against the Packers, but gun to my head I would take the points.
This is the kind of game a superbowl team wins and a playoff team loses.
