well the Packers couldn't run the ball after about a quarter and a half. That's why this game seemed to stretch to infinity. That, and the penalties.Originally posted by pbmax View PostI cannot stand this offsense when it needs to eat clock."Never, never ever support a punk like mraynrand. I agree, it was miserable to watch. You have to keep running some in any event, but why keep banging head against wall? Starks had bad game, and the O-line wasn't opening anything up.Originally posted by mraynrand View Postwell the Packers couldn't run the ball after about a quarter and a half. Didn't at least 2 middle LB'ers get named to the Pro Bowl for each team? 2 guys other than him were going every year but one.Originally posted by Harlan Huckleby View PostThis is painful.
The question was why RN only went to 1 pro bowl.
Dick Butkus went to 8 pro bowls.
I would suggest that the reason RN only went to 1 pro bowl was that Dick Butkus was voted ahead of him those 8 years.
If you disagree, what is your explanation for RN only making 1 pro bowl?

Looks like you could be right. Sam Huff, Tommy Nobis, Lee Roy Jordan, other MLBs Plus Butkus soaking up 8 slots.Originally posted by Packgator View PostDidn't at least 2 middle LB'ers get named to the Pro Bowl for each team? 2 guys other than him were going every year but one.

Joe Schmidt of Detroit and Bill George of Chicago were great players before Butkus came along.I can't run no more
With that lawless crowd
While the killers in high places
Say their prayers out loud
But they've summoned, they've summoned up
A thundercloud
They're going to hear from me - Leonard Cohen

I almost want them to go back to the pistol to make the run game less predictable from shotgun.Originally posted by mraynrand View Postwell the Packers couldn't run the ball after about a quarter and a half. And I will give wist this:Originally posted by Bossman641 View PostRandall lost his WR twice tonight I believe, but he can clearly make tackles.
For whatever reason, assignment, his own protection, he is only playing press and he is not back pedaling much. But the basis for comparison I have is limited. Woodson was not usually in backpedal and neither was Harris. Tramontana could play off and man. Shields is mostly man.
Hayward is the only one who truly prefers to be off of his guy.
Is it scheme, assignment, choice or limitation?Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Doesn't Perry allow guys to play whatever they are most comfortable with? I recall reading articles as much. Shields normally plays press, House press, Williams both but leaned towards off, Hayward off.Originally posted by pbmax View PostAnd I will give wist this:

Yes, I think that has been reported before. I don't mean that wist is correct in ascribing the cause, just that he might have seen what he claimed.Originally posted by Bossman641 View PostDoesn't Perry allow guys to play whatever they are most comfortable with? For the chance at sticking them with the hard count.Originally posted by pbmax View PostThis game is not even the best example with a 2 score lead and you can take the oppo down to no timeouts and 40 seconds left.
But why run left and risk the ball if that is the case? Kneel if you are just going surrender possession.70% of the Earth is covered by water. The rest is covered by Al Harris.

Yeah, but the odds on that go down when run is the only option. Which is another reason why I think they should pass out of that situation once in a while.Originally posted by 3irty1 View PostFor the chance at sticking them with the hard count.
The best time killer was that 17 play KC scoring drive that got it to a 10 point game.Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Haven't read the thread, so I don't know if this was revisited, but those in bold remain streaks. Those in italics are broken streaks. And I confess, I'm not sure on 5, but RR dropped one, but I don't know if it counted as deflected. At very worst, the streak can be restated to say the WRs have yet to drop a pass.Originally posted by pbmax View Post1. No interception by Rodgers at home.
2. Packer Defense with sack in 38 straight games.
3. KC streak of no touchdown passes to WRs.
4. Packers have never beaten the Chiefs at Lambeau.
5. Packers have yet to drop a pass this season. No longer the member of any fan clubs. I'm tired of jinxing players out of the league and into obscurity.
