Crosby topped the ball. Plain and simple. Could come back to bite em for that second seed.

No it wasn't, Rand. You got alotta splainin to do. LOL
One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

how does he top it when the video clearly shows him hitting the ball below the midpoint?

also if he would have topped it the ball would have gone down, not up

I'm not going to split hairs, but his foot was very high on the ball - just compare it to his other kicks.

But I agree there was no turf monster not tip/touch/deflection from Masthay or anybody/anything else. It was all on Crosby.

Congratulations, old wise one! You win a chance to do it all over again next game! Don't let us down.

That was a desperation move. I thought it would come about by the offense getting back on the same page. Instead, it was mostly Lacy keeping drives somewhat coherent mixed in with some big plays to Janis and Jones along with a solid defensive game.

Special teams helped a lot, too. The Packers had better field position most of the day. Those hidden yards help immensely.

                        • The key, as always in football, is with the lines. Both lines - offensive and defensive - played much better this week. If both play well Thursday, the offense will continue to improve and the defense will force Cutler into playing like Cutler.

                            Field position was huge.

If Stubby takes any lessons away from this game, I hope its that having Janis stretch the field is a good move. I also thought Datrone Jones had a monster game. I'd like him to play most of the game Thursday.

Yeah, I agree. While you can keep Hyde or Cobb for safety catches, no reason Janis doesn't return every other kickoff for the rest of the season. Seeing him accelerate past the coverage was frankly amazing. I think he got yelled at after return attempt two, which perhaps should not have come out, because he went down fast on kickoff return #3.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.
