Starks was in, and I almost thought they wanted Lacy but decided to try the offside thing. But they had plenty of time to sub. Just strange.Originally posted by red View Postits like they don't have a play ready in case they don't jump offsides
thats why i say "get them to jump offsides" is the play
"if they don't jump, take a TO"
they should call a fucking play, then try and get them to jump, when the clock gets down, snap the fucking ball and run the god damn playBud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Actually, as I recall coaches used to be even more conservative, almost always punting on 4th......now that could be my dead brain cells showing their ugly face but it seems like coaches back in the 60's and 70's were really conservative.

I'm talking real Old School. Curly Lambeau Old School. Curly would go for it 4th and 8 from his own 30.Originally posted by Rastak View PostActually, as I recall coaches used to be even more conservative, almost always punting on 4th......now that could be my dead brain cells showing their ugly face but it seems like coaches back in the 60's and 70's were really conservative. One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.
