    Amazing career.

Still looking for one more interception return TD, to tie Rod Woodson for most ever at 12. He is now tied with Sharper at 11. Amazingly, 9 of his 11 TD returns were for the Packers. He had at least one every year in GB except 2012, when he played only 7 games. The other two were his first two years in the league.

He has 65 career interceptions, in a tie with Ken Riley for #5 all-time.
    The career leaders are:

    81 - Paul Krause
    79 - Emlen Tunnell
    71 - Rod Woodson
    68 - Night Train Lane
    65 - Ken Riley
    65 - Charles Woodson

Woodson also can extend his NFL record 12 games without a tackle(safety).

I know it is an attempt at humor, but I don't even get the basis for it. He has 272 tackles in 45 games at safety for Oakland. He had 113 last year, 83 solos; compared to HHCD's 92 total and 65 solos.

Not just an attempt at humor, it's damn funny humor. Just like this big hat:

Watch the games. He really doesn't tackle at all, especially now after repeated shoulder injuries. I'm embellishing only a little. He does not wrap up and bring people to the ground. He doesn't hit. At most he grabs the uniform and swings guys around until help gets there. He gets credit for solo tackles when he escorts someone out of bounds, I presume.

Not many DBs do tackle that well anymore, including a lot of safeties. Woodson is not unique in that regard.

I'm surprised Chuck still "angry" about how things ended with Green Bay.

OK, I don't agree about safeties - perhaps corners. Still, just watch the guy - he avoids tackles like no other safety that I've watched.

Wasn't it here that we discussed an article at draft time about safeties tackling? Basically, several GMs and scouts said that with all of the multiple receiver formations, the athletic TEs, etc., that they look for coverage ability over tackling ability in safeties, even if the do generally expect better tackling than from corners (not a high standard to achieve.)

apples and oranges. I'm not talking about poor tackling skills or ability, I'm talking about avoidance to the point of essentially not tackling. I guess you'll just have to see it to be convinced.

I find it hard to believe a guy gets 100 tackles a year by avoiding tackling. Apparently he is not very good at avoiding tackling.

Will Lacy reel off a big run, face Woodson alone in the open field, and absolutely truck Chuck? Would it be better than Lacy rolling over Blanton?

I don't see it any more with Woodson than any other safety in the NFL. They just don't wrap up and tackle anymore.

how many of the past 12 or so Raiders games have you watched?

Looks a lot different to me.

So I saw Woodson make two hits - which is two more than he normally makes. And the reason he does't was on display, because h got hurt on the second hit.
