  • Official Packers Raiders Game Day Thread

The Packers are coming off two straight wins against less than stellar competition. But as I like to say, "A win is a win and you can't control who the NFL scheduled you to play next."

If this was in GB or a short trip in the Midwest I would predict a 2+ TD victory for the Pack. Because we have to travel to Oakland I think it will be more of a 10 point game.

The Packer D will continue with its solid play and the O will benefit from another week of MM running the show. Packers win 31-21.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

From a distance, Oakland seems like a split-personality team. Playing good teams well and then getting beaten by poor teams. The Packers have struggled against good competition on the road and Oakland might have a pass rush to make that a reality again.

But I agree the run game will protect the Offense from self-destruction on the road and M3 seems committed, though you never know what he sees on film during the week I actually hope he channels a Schottenheimer offense this week and next.

The Defense should be able to control the Oakland Offense. They have one receiver who can do damage (Cooper) but otherwise they can be stopped.

    24-19 Packers win.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Hey! This is sort of like 48 years ago when the Packers beat the Cowboys in the Ice Bowl and then beat Oakland in the 2nd AFL/NFL World Championship Game. Okay, maybe it's not much like that, but I still think the Packers win. Not 33-14. Make it 23-14.

I keep trying to decide whether or not Carr is sufficiently young enough to be flummoxed by the Dominator. I can easily see him having issues with a Packer defense that has played very well against inexperienced/average QBs this year.

Still, he's growing up fast, is at home, and having Cooper and Crabtree helps the young fella.

Mack is dangerous but Green Bay's tackles are much better than Denver's. He'll get his but the Packers are good enough on offense to where a single dominant player can be held in check, especially with M3 calling the plays.

This should be an interesting game. Oakland has some young talent and they've been playing hard. At the end of the day, I think they make more mistakes than Green Bay and that ends up being the difference.

          27-20 Packers.

Damn. Blacked out in Detroit. If only there were some link accidentally posted here that would lead me to be able to view the game on my computer....

It's not on in Denver either. I'll be checking out firstrowsports dot eu for the game.

I never make predictions, but...I don't know why I should expect anything but more of the same from the Packers O. Low low scoring game. I'm afraid Charles Woodson gets his revenge today. Another away game fail? ...I hate the damn Raiders!!!
One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

am i the only one that after 13 weeks still doesn't know what kind of team we have?

it happens every year earlier, but usually we figure it out at some point early

i don't know if we're good, shitty or average

i don't know if we are a legit super bowl contender or a team thats gonna get blown out in the first round

i have no clue if we are gonna win today or lose
