Larry Stone, of the Titans Radio Network, reports Tennessee Titans WR Tyrone Calico has been released from the team.


Wasn't this guy suppose to be their #1 last year? Or something like that?

He's nothing special. I believe he was to be the #1 last season, but with the emergence of Drew Bennet, and Calico suffering injury problems, he didn't take the #1 spot. I really don't think we need him. As I said, nothing special.

Well, I looked him up on NFL.com and he only had 22 catches last year. But he is filled with that ugly word "potential" and is 6'4" and can run. Maybe he has more upside then what we got at 4 and 5 WR now.

Actually, Bennett emerged the year before. He had a down year last year. However, the Titans drafted like three wideouts in the first 4 rounds last year (they had a boatload of picks). They also signed David Givens.

Calico has more talent than some of the guys on our roster.

Calico was supposed to break out for a few years now.

Great size and speed. Just always had injury problems and couldn't make everything click.

Kind of like our Robert Ferguson, only with more potential and less production.
