  • Here are the cuts

Released Saturday were tight end Zac Alcorn, safety Atari Bigby, safety Tra Boger, wide receiver Carlton Brewster, fullback Ben Brown, kicker E.J. Cochrane, running back Najeh Davenport, cornerback Patrick Dendy, wide receiver Chris Francies, wide receiver Rod Gardner, linebacker Tim Goodwell, cornerback Antonio Malone, linebacker Roy Manning, safety Jeremy Modkins, guard Siitupe Peko, defensive end Kenny Peterson, wide receiver Cory Rodgers, defensive end Dave Tollefson and center Pete Traynor

Happy to see R. Martin kept on team.

    Surprised they kept Leach.

IMO, bad move to release Gardner, Ferguson will only disappear during the season.

I would have thought they would have kept Davenport. Gardner to.... Ferguson better be counting his lucky stars that he didnt get the axe instead of acting all confused as to why Jennings gets the starter position over him.....

Agree with all your points. Leach does a great Ben Steele imitation when trying to catch a ball out of the backfield. If Fergy keeps up "the man's tryin' to keep me down" attitude, he may end up being the let go during the season. He may put out a great effort, but he just can't see that he's getting no results on the field.

Fergy is the classic case of "if these things just line up, I can be successful, but EVERYONE should see why I haven't been successful. Why won't everyone do it MY way? It'll work, really it will..."

        <sigh>

I'm glad to see everyone go except Gardner. That just makes their recieving core even more thin.

Believe me, he was cut for a reason.

I wanted Gardner to beat out Fergie, and I looked for news to support that it was happening, but alas, Gardner was invisible throughout TC and in the games. Fergie made a play once or twice, and it was enough to win a poor competition.

The Packers are looking for a WR in the waiver wire as well as OL help. They kept 4 TE's is a shock to me.

Because there was little after the top three DD,Jennings and Ruvell Martin.

Way to give errr Ruvell. He worked his butt off and if TT had kept Gardner over Ruvell Martin he would have lost integrity.

Ted Thompson did the best he could in my estimation to finalize OUR Roster. now it's time to find players to upgrade us at OL/WR//RB/cb/

We are a tad thin as well at Safety with only Nick Collins,Marquand Manuel (who needs time to get up to speed) and one of OUR STAR surprises in TC
                      Safety Tyrone Culver.

One of the surprises to me was that RT/G Junius Coston made it but this wasn't a bad prospecrt out of College and maybe he'll come around.

Also, I once felt that RB Najeh Davenport would possibly be a Dorsey Levens style RB for us and break out but sadly no. I'll bet he's not unemployed long.

                      Now, it's all about this:

Sorry to see Manning go. He worked his tail off, but it wasn't enough. I was rooting for him to make it.

I was surprised that Hunter made the team.

Davenport had some good and bad (or shall we say crappy) moments with the Packers

Not at all; guy has way too much upside to expose him so somebody else can grab a 4.5 speed future potential pass rush specialist
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER
