If he tries to close Five Guys on Oneida we are going to need to talk.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

I'd be ok with them firing Edgar Bennet if they made it a package deal with Davante Adams.

That's what they get for drafting a Fresno State guy.

It depends on the incentives. The agent might complain, as would the NFLPA, if the incentives were unusual. Might also cause some hard feelings between player, agent, coaches, and management.

I thought we'd be great this season.

By the start of the 2016 Season I'll be all +ve and the 2016-17 Season.

When I found out we lost Jordy Nelson I said to Mae. That's going to be a big problem.

Essentially that loss hurt us and placed tremendous pressure on the use of Randall Cobb.

I'd like to see Edgar back with the WRs. Wasn't he that position coach last year? I'm not ready to give up on Adams quite yet either. Jordy was a late bloomer too.

I don't think a lot of folks realized what the loss of Jordy did to this offense, including me. We all thought the guys left would be able to fill is considerable shoes. It showed the league that Jordy is indeed one of the best WR in the game today. It will so wonderful to get him back next season!

I am not quite sure how McCarthy's offense compares to the original West Coast offense, but my best guess about the issues with the receiving corps and Rodgers is that they were not on the same page when it came to what routes to run when they came up to the line of scrimmage. It seemed that when you would watch the receivers they were hesitant before their cuts and breaks and they were easily readable. It is strange but it didn't look like routes were run at full speed.

^^^ PBmax has this figured out - the pre snap read and decision rules. Rodgers IDs the target and if that's covered, that's where the problem starts. You can see the other guys just kind of stopping their routes, expecting the ball to go somewhere else. If that first target is gone, it looks like the play is busted, and with the O-line problems, the inability of the WRs to get open versus man coverage, the reticence of Rodgers to throw people open/take risks, and run the ball more, these things all together ruin the offense.

I thought the same thing. Made me wonder if guys were going through the motions because they weren't expecting the ball to come to them. Also made me wonder if the WR group missed Jordy's leadership as much as his pass catching ability.

Not sure about the original route or about how to adjust the route on the fly based on coverage after the snap?

I think the entire concept of a progression of reads has changed. Its all pre-snap or one read after the snap.

If everyone knows where the ball is going based on that plus hand signals, it affects other routes. So if the Rodgers offense survives (and against great Defenses, it probably does need to survive), they need a progression off that if something doesn't pan out.

They should just watch Inception and have an offense INSIDE the offense.

One other thing occurred to me about the limit of Stubby's stubbornness.

There have been games when he has either delayed the 4 minute offense or added in play action to get first downs. Those are usually games where the lead is not two scores. So while Stubby, he is not exactly one size fits all.

                          There is always hope.

Overall the injuries weren't that bad. Unfortunately, they were kind of concentrated at the WR position. Jordy, Monty, Abby and Adams missed a combined 36 games.
