  • Mason Crosby Signs 4 Year Deal

    Mike McCartney ‏@MikeMcCartney7
Congratulations to Mason Crosby ( @crosbykicks2 ) agreeing to a 4 year contract with the @packers

Tackling in the back end of the kick units will continue to be a strength.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

        From the NFL website:

        4 years, $16.1M, $5M signing bonus.

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday that Crosby has signed a $16.1 million, four-year contract with the Packers, according to a source close to the player. The deal includes a $5 million signing bonus, too.

Fair deal for both parties IMO
Glad he's signed. A good kicker is easy to take for granted, until you don't have one on your team.

A good job of taking care of your own. How many people would have seen this 4 years ago?

Very few. And I think Bretsky can claim this one as his own. I seem to recall him in Crosby's corner during the lost season.

Now if Mason could punt, it would be a steal of a deal.

Is there anyone in the league doing that right now?

Crosby is a tad streaky, but the guy is certainly one of the top 5 kickers in the game. The stats he's putting up playing in Green Bay (rather than a cushy dome) are very impressive. He knows he's found a good spot on a team with a HOF QB, so he's sticking with the golden goose.
It's such a GOOD feeling...13 TIME WORLD CHAMPIONS!!

I don't think so. Seem to remember one game with an injury that left one guy to both jobs. But that was it.

Thanks for the reminder. It was Ten. Their kicker made the extra point and had to make a tackle on the kick off and blew his knee. Craig Hentrich came in and kicked 4 or 5 FGs. I lost in fantasy football by a point.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

Ouch. And a former Packer to boot (pun intended).

But I think it also happened this year as well.

Wait til he misses a potential game-winning FG and see what the fans say then!

True, although I bet most will complain about McCarthy's playcalling or Capers defense.
