I'm a little surprised Omar Jacobs cleared waivers. I'd take him over Ingle Martin.

"Signed quarterback Omar Jacobs, running back Cedric Humes, fullback John Kuhn, tackle Brandon Torrey, tight end Jon Dekker, defensive ends Orien Harris and Shaun Nua and cornerback Anthony Madison to the practice squad."
"There's a lot of interest in the draft. It's great. But quite frankly, most of the people that are commenting on it don't know anything about what they are talking about."--Ted Thompson

No WR? That's surprising. I like Omar Jacobs, though.

Omar Jacobs was drafted by the Steelers. Played at Bowling Green.

Decent QB, kind of a project due to his unorthodox throwing style, but I'd have to agree. Ingle Martin could have made the practice squad and we've picked him up.

I was very surprised he was cut. Alot of people on some Vike boards I'm on wanting them to take him in the 2nd...YIKES! That would have been a bummer of a pick. Although you'd think they'd give the guy a year....

Is this the packers practice squad signings? I don't think a single one of them were on the roster before cuts.

                  No, the Steelers PS.

I think only they and the Bears have announced any pickups to the PS or waiver wire signings..

                    That would explain my confusion.

Please please please Ted make the announcements. I'm dying over here in Detroit. I gotta know who the benchwarmers/inactives are going to be.

See this is what happens after a 4-12 season.

Oh, not really. If they're heading for the playoffs I'm just as excited. It's part of being a geeky sort of fan.
