Rodgers: Eddie ran the ball really well. The offensive line was outstanding. Other than that, we've got some stuff to clean up. #NYGvsGB

Rodgers: We've got to do a better job in the red zone. We had some opportunities, we've got to cash those in. #NYGvsGB

Rodgers on #Packers defense: It's fun to watch. Those guys are playing outstanding. Give Dom credit for game plan, & those guys executed.

Rodgers: It's been ugly at times, but we'll take it. It's tough to win in this league. #NYGvsGBBud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Unfortunately, major reshuffles don't typically happen in-season. I agree, I thought the o-line was a strength, and the running game was productive.Originally posted by Harlan Huckleby View PostThis offense needs a major reshuffle. I don't know what needs to change, but the o-line is fine.
So, so what is it with this passing attack? Often, it seems that Rodgers drops back, has time, but can't go with the original concept of the play. Is that on him for having a desire to get the big play or chunk yardage instead of just taking what they are giving? Is it on the receivers for not being able to physically execute to get separation in their routes? Is it the route concepts themselves that the defense almost seems to know as much as the Packer receivers?
I realize there will be scramble drills, but it seems more often than not, they have to do a scramble drill instead of just having a play drawn up and being able to execute it straight up with the talent that they have. So, is it the talent itself, or the route concepts limiting the talent?
Rodgers also seems to have more accuracy issues, but that might go to the scramble drill on more plays than not. There are non-scramble drill plays where his accuracy is just off."Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not his own facts." -Daniel Patrick Moynihan

Not major. But he should take most of his play calls from the second half and toss them in the garbage.Originally posted by Harlan Huckleby View PostThis offense needs a major reshuffle. A reshuffle could occur but only if the coaches know what the problem is. I don't sense MM and crew know that, why else say week after week they will correct some things but nothing ever gets corrected?Originally posted by Carolina_Packer View PostUnfortunately, major reshuffles don't typically happen in-season. I wonder if Jhurell Pressley is being considered again. The only other RB immediately available is Don Jackson on the practice squad. I wish the NFL would allow more short-term roster moves, like MLB does with the DL. We shouldn't try and just get by with Starks and Rip. Hopefully Lacy is OK. This...but maybe they had to scheme a little differently since Lacey was unavailable. Lacey ran hard and most of his gains were all from simply bowling people over and breaking tackles. That's not Starks.Originally posted by pbmax View PostNot major. But he should take most of his play calls from the second half and toss them in the garbage.

It's irritating that we're so far into the season and we still don't have a quality 3rd down RB that can be a factor catching passes and make people miss in the open field. You watch other teams play on Sunday and they all have a Reggie Bush/Darren Sproles-type guy that can create pressure on opposing LB's underneath or even sliding open down the sideline. We had Starks open a few times and he dropped the ball. But even if he had caught it, Starks is just not quick or elusive enough anymore to play that role.Originally posted by Carolina_Packer View PostI wonder if Jhurell Pressley is being considered again. Maybe Pressley or Jackson are the answer, but it's kind of late in the season to be breaking in a new kid in that role. One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

That one screen to Starks in the 1st quarter before the INT was a TD if ARod could have thrown a better ball. Only 2 Giants on that side of the field with 3 Packer blockers and Starks.Originally posted by Maxie the Taxi View PostIt's irritating that we're so far into the season and we still don't have a quality 3rd down RB that can be a factor catching passes and make people miss in the open field.
