Harlan answered your question before you asked it.
One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

That was an example of Stubby's genius.

      • I guess the final score will be Cowboys 34 Packers 16.

We'll get the mercy win against Chicago on Thursday and MM will think everything is o.k.

I can't see us getting to 16 points...we ain't getting a TD in the second half with our track record.

          • I exactly called the end of that quarter. I am finally saying it. Stubby needs to go. He gave up the first and went to prevent...leaving huge gaps for big gain and then TD (prevent doesn't work). Then he threw in the middle and couldn't kill the clock (I called it to a T). Its time. I no longer believe we can win a superbowl with MM as coach.

            • MM still coaches like we can win a shootout. When its a sloppy , who sucks worse, type game you should be happy with where we were right before half.

              • Answer two questions for me:
                1) Why are we sending only four rushers against one of the best OLines in football? If Dak has time to throw, he's good. If he doesn't, he's not.

                2) Why is Cobb, one of our slowest receivers, the guy we're sending downfield on a fly route when Davis and Janis are sitting on the bench?

He'll make excuses about injuries and there being a few minor things they need to work on.

He's Jeckyll and Hyde. He plays for field goals on two 4th and ones and then goes balls to the wall at the end of the half. Just nonsense.

                      • We have at least one of these games every year. Rodgers has not been sharp. Maybe he's been off by a little bit on most throws and his receivers haven't helped him. A drop by Adams, a drop by Rodgers, a fumble by Nelson. Losing our top 3 cornerbacks was bound to hurt us, and it did on a 97 yd drive before the half.

We get the ball to start the 2nd half. We've not done well in 2nd halves, but we're usually playing with the lead. Let's see what it brings.

                        • Ain't no Homer Simpson, but Packers will comeback in the 2nd half to beat the Cowboys, as Rodgers regains his mojo.

Y'all can quote me on that.

                              How was Gunter playing prevent?
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

                              • Why the fuck is Favre glad handing Cowboys?
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.
