Football is a business...unfortunately, for guys on the OL, that often means you have to let them go a year too early than risk paying a hefty price for a guy who is breaking down. Sounds like Lang just might be one of those guys...just like Sitton. It's such a GOOD feeling...13 TIME WORLD CHAMPIONS!!

Some players, especially those that play the "skill" positions refuse to wear a jockstrap. It slows them down. Some NFL pics clearly depict players without any.Originally posted by Teamcheez1 View PostAnyone who plays professional football will leave the sport with a "congenital" health issue.
Without looking up the word "congenital", I take it to mean the deformation of the genitals?Last edited by Guest; 10-31-2016, 09:32 AM.

Tretter is good. He'll be fine at guard. He's more than athletic enough. If he gained 10 lbs, he'd still have enough athletic ability to play guard. He's young and good. I'd like to see him play a couple games before the year is up. Once Lindsley gets back......Formerly known as JustinHarrell.

Do you mean like he did when he got Sitton, Lang, Bulaga, Bakhtiari, Linsley and Tretter in there? Sure, why not?Originally posted by Rutnstrut View PostTime to cut Lang. No reason to keep those proven "older" guys that play through injuries. The TT way is to get the young pussies in there.
The flip side of a player who plays through injuries a lot is a player who is injured a lot. Couple that with the inevitable results of players in the second halves of their careers and it argues for letting them go sooner rather than later, if you can.
For the most part, TT's decisions to let players go have proven to be good decisions.Last edited by Patler; 10-31-2016, 11:13 AM.

He needs to gain 30 LBS minimum to play guard IMO. He is super lean.Originally posted by JustinHarrell View PostTretter is good. He'll be fine at guard. He's more than athletic enough. Spriggs definitely need to get stronger; I'm not sure about Tretter at G; I think he could do it in a pinch but C might be better and Linsley is pretty good there. I think they'll either extend Lang with per game bonuses or draft someone and hope they have the guys to help. Maybe they see Murphy as a RG? He needs time in the weight room too. Not unusual for these guys to need to add strength/bulk out of college.Originally posted by Harlan Huckleby View PostHe's listed as 6-4. 301.
Spriggs is 6-6. 301 - there's your bean pole
10 pounds would help a lot, 15 would be very good
