This team is a complete dumpster fire at this point. McCarthy has absolutely no idea how to fix things, and whatever he is doing to try to shake things up clearly is pushing things 100% in the opposite direction.

I never thought the loss of Lacy would reduce this team to what it now is...but that is exactly what has happened. That was the straw that broke the camel's back.

I think the loss of Shields was every bit as devastating as Lacy. No number one corner has meant they've had to play a lot of zone and they are really bad at zone. Our pass defense has been bad for quite a few games. We just can't get off the field. Opposing offenses have really been able to develop game plans to beat our pass rush and to scheme people open.

Did I present the argument that scoring was worse than not scoring? My point is his shitty play early helped put us behind the 8 ball. But by the end of the game he will have racked up good numbers against largely a shell type defense with a big lead.

You make it sound like that isn't how most big comebacks happen.

There is no doubt the O is struggling more than counting stats represent. But being able to take advantage of a defenses' posture of any strip is a good thing. I am also not sure they backed off much. Maybe less blitzing, but still playing a lot of non LeBeau man to man.
