  • The Official Packers vs Redskins Game Day Thread

This is my first ever start of a Game Day Thread. I’ve never had the opportunity or the willingness to start one, mostly out of fear that if I did, the Packers would be crushed by whoever they were playing. Well, watching the last three games, I no longer have that fear.

I was gonna write up a big synopsis of the season and my true feelings on this team and this game, but then I thought of something different to try. For those of you that have seen my posts in the Game Day threads, you may find this a bit uncharacteristic.

Packers vs. Redskins – Sunday Night Football.

Redskins….Schmedkins…They have no chance. Yes, the Pack has lost the last three games, but so what…a simple bump in the road. This game is going to be the turning point for the entire year. The Packers are guaranteed to come home with a win. Everything wrong will be righted. We’ll finally see a decent pass rush with Mathews back. Wide receivers WILL be open. Rogers will NOT hold onto the ball. We WILL see an actual running game. The Defense WILL actually stop someone on 3rd down. Crosby WILL make every field goal attempt and PAT.

This new RB they got, Christina something – pfft, 150 yards easy tomorrow, plus a TD. Rogers….throws for 325 and 3 TDS, one of them to Geronimo. The Secondary – just you wait – 2 picks, one by Burnett and one by…wait for it….wait for it…Gunter!!!! The Defense will also have 4 sacks on Cousins. This game is gonna be over in the 3rd quarter. The Redskins are not gonna know what hit them. Score….who cares, just know the Pack ain’t coming out of Washington with anything but a win.

    Yeah Baby!!! GO PACK GO!

    Go Pack Go!
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

I have Cobb and Adams on a fantasy team. I can only start 1. Who's gonna have a better day? Kinda wondering if Adams can have 2 big games in a row. Doesn't seem to be his strong point.

        I'd go with Adams
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

Nice job pittstang5. Great write up.

If this doesn't bring a win, I move heads should roll at 1265 Lombardi Ave.

last 2 weeks + the loss to Dallas has me starting to hit the bottle Saturday...all this began with the game day thread I didn't start! *hangs head* We're all going to shit, hell, pbmax is referencing Bleacher Report!

Serious question - when was the last time Detroit won the division?

Dark times, but better days ahead.

                Pack wins 38 - 24
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

I feel some sort of obligation to post in this particular thread.

                      Go with Adams.

Do you have a lot of confidence in that prediction?

Yes, actually. 3rd week back for Rollins and Gunter has had solid playing time after his injury. If Matthews is back, not guaranteed, then I do. Only unsettled spot is ILB. But both Thomas and Bradford are having their best years. I think the defense recovers some.

The offense has been performing better than earlier in season even though the level of hand wringing is up.

I have one prediction: I will not be staying up until 11pm to watch 2 hours of football, possibly shitty football, and two hours of commercials and officiating.

Sorry for being Debbie Downer, but I fucking hate night games, especially when the Pack is struggling. Maybe I'll make it through the first half. I'll set up some sort of bot to post in the forum for me after that.

Unfortunately the DEFENSE is performing poorer than earlier this season.
