What a mess. It sure was nice to see a TE make some big plays and actually make the D account for them. Then of course he fumbled at the worst possible time. Ugh. It's going to be interesting to see if Christine can come in and make a difference on the offense. Girl power.

Rodgers: Jared (Cook) was good tonight. Made some plays. He's a tough matchup. It's good to see him healthy. #GBvsWAS
Rodgers seemed pretty lost during his PC as did the assembled press corps. I think they were all (Rodgers included) sort of shocked by the outcome.

          CAPERS

Packer Report ‏@PackerReport 30m30 minutes ago Green Bay, WI
Two biggest things that jump out to Capers: Third-down woes and big plays.

Packer Report ‏@PackerReport 30m30 minutes ago Green Bay, WI
"All hell broke loose" starting with the 44-yard TD that made it 22-10, Capers said. Then came 70-yarder. Then 4th-and-1 to set up 56-yarder

Tom Silverstein ‏@TomSilverstein 30m30 minutes ago
Capers on final 3 minutes: We’re pressuring, we’re blitzing. Trying to get the ball back and they pop a run there. We missed a tackle.

Michael Cohen ‏@Michael_Cohen13 30m30 minutes ago
Dom Capers: "We let it get away from us in the fourth quarter by us not making our plays and letting them make big plays." #Packers

Tom Silverstein ‏@TomSilverstein 29m29 minutes ago
Capers: I like a lot of the things we did in the first three quarters and then for some reason we blew up.

Tom Silverstein ‏@TomSilverstein 28m28 minutes ago
Capers on corners: Guys go down. That’s our game. You can lose 1, 2, 3 games (think he means guys) and continue off the game plan and execute.

Tom Silverstein ‏@TomSilverstein 27m27 minutes ago
Capers on Goodson injury: Such a competitor, such a coachable guy. Knows only one speed. He’s a good guy. Hate to ever see that happen.

Tom Silverstein ‏@TomSilverstein 25m25 minutes ago
Capers on Matthews to ILB: We haven’t discussed it yet. We’ll look at who is available, what we want to do, what the Eagles are doing.

            BENNETT

Tom Silverstein ‏@TomSilverstein 21m21 minutes ago
Edgar Bennett on Cook: Some really good high notes as well as the ball security. Have to clean that up. We all understand importance of it.

Green Bay Packers ‏@packers 21m21 minutes ago
Edgar Bennett on TE Jared Cook's return: Any time you add a weapon like Jared, it certainly helps.

Tom Silverstein ‏@TomSilverstein 20m20 minutes ago
Bennett on Spriggs: Did a good job for us. Some positive things in pass blocking. Showed some attitude.

Michael Cohen ‏@Michael_Cohen13 20m20 minutes ago
#Packers OC Edgar Bennett said there were some technique issues with Jason Spriggs at guard but he loved the competitiveness and fire.

            ZOOK

Packer Report ‏@PackerReport 18m18 minutes ago Green Bay, WI
Zook on Janis' botched KO return: "What was he doing? Get on the ball!" And then he didn't signal, which botched blocking. wind a factor.

Tom Silverstein ‏@TomSilverstein 18m18 minutes ago
Ron Zook on Janis: The ball fell right in (due to wind). Get on the ball. i think it shocked him. Everybody assumed he wasn’t coming out.

Tom Silverstein ‏@TomSilverstein 17m17 minutes ago
Ron Zook on Crosby: He was hitting well before the game. Further away worst wind took the ball. Said he wished he’d hit it right in middle.

Tom Silverstein ‏@TomSilverstein 17m17 minutes ago
Ron Zook on Cobb PR: Think have a guy very talented and he wanted to do it, so let’s go.

Tom Silverstein ‏@TomSilverstein 16m16 minutes ago
Ron Zook on leaders: We have a bunch of young guys. If not have someone to lead than we have to lead, help them through this thing.

Michael Cohen ‏@Michael_Cohen13 14m14 minutes ago
Without Banjo, Elliott and Goodson the special teams units were without three key leaders. Zook stepped up his vocal presence to help.

Green Bay Packers ‏@packers 13m13 minutes ago
Ron Zook on Demetri Goodson: He's a great kid, so you hate it for him, but it's a big loss. You can't coach speed. Such a tough competitor.

It sure did. Spriggs can pass block.

And even when he was beaten by a quick step in a small face, he was able to regain control and not let the guy get a free run.

Very valid question. Trevor Davis did not play from scrimmage and got only two snaps on special teams. Elliott's ST presence more important.

NOW THAT MIGHT JUST BE A BIG COACHING SCREWUP. I BET THE ANSWER IS THAT THEY HAD PACKAGES FOR DAVIS THEY DID NOT GET TO

McCarthy: Demetri Goodson. He will not be available this week, but it was a significant injury #Packers

McCarthy on Goodson: Significant injury. Don’t have any information on players. Lot of MRIs going on. He will not be available this week.

Tom Silverstein ‏@TomSilverstein 5h5 hours ago
McCarthy on where you go from here: Normal Monday. This been difficult 4 weeks. Not sit here in big picture stuff. Aware what we need to do.

Michael Cohen ‏@Michael_Cohen13 5h5 hours ago
McCarthy: "We're pouring everything into beating the Eagles. We need to get to win No. 5." #Packers

Tom Silverstein ‏@TomSilverstein 5h5 hours ago
McCarthy: We need to get to five wins. We know we have to answer questions, but we have to get things going toward Philadelphia.

Tom Silverstein ‏@TomSilverstein 5h5 hours ago
McCarthy on any coaching changes: My focus is on beating Eagles.

how do you win with backup CBs?: "It's a challenge, particularly when you continue to have injuries."

Packer Report ‏@PackerReport 5h5 hours ago
Defense never got Cousins off rhythm. Pass defense is combination of coverage and pressure. Not good enough.

Packer Report ‏@PackerReport 5h5 hours ago
Turnover battle is "A-No.1" to get it turned around. If they can't turn it around, team will fight uphill battle.

Michael Cohen ‏@Michael_Cohen13 5h5 hours ago
McCarthy doesn't have a feel one way or the other for T.J. Lang or JC Tretter in terms of availability. Damarious Randall getting close.

Tom Silverstein ‏@TomSilverstein 5h5 hours ago
McCarthy on Damarious Randall: He’s getting closer. He had a good workout Sunday.

Packer Report ‏@PackerReport 5h5 hours ago
MM on Rollins: "His injury was setback." Came back earlier than expected. But "we all need to detail our work better."

Michael Cohen ‏@Michael_Cohen13 5h5 hours ago
McCarthy said the groin injury for Rollins a few weeks ago was fairly serious. He thinks it slowed development and contributed to struggles.

McCarthy said Don Barclay hurt his shoulder in the pregame and fought through it as best he could in the first half. Ultimately went out.

Tom Silverstein ‏@TomSilverstein 5h5 hours ago
McCarthy on penalties on Daniels, Jones: Datone’s penalty was nonsense. Mike Daniels, that’s a tough one.

Yet they keep trotting out the Saginaw Stooge to try and block Monty from getting to kickoffs. I think my favorite is when he took the kickoff at the 5, stood there for a 2 count, then decided to run. The guy has 0 football IQ.
