Casey Heyward in 2015: 56 catches on 85 targets, 3TD, 0INT, 100.7 QB rating.
2016 before today: 43 of 73, 1TD, 6INT, 53.2 QB rating.

Bob has similar numbers today in the JSO. Will post those later tonight. He really turned it around from last year, where the only thing he was doing well was remaining healthy.

Good, will help us get a better compensatory pick. It is rare when you let a guy walk after his first contract if he doesn't have health concerns or totally stink it up. Knowing Sam is likely done, I bet they wish they had Casey back now. Oh well, obviously can't predict that.

Was thinking the same thing - they'd like a do-over on his with what happened with Shields this year.

Hayward was bad last year though. The general consensus here was certainly that he had lost his burst from the injuries.

This is about the only player we've let walk the last few years that has really amounted to anything.

This didn't work out for the Packers. I always liked Heyward, but I felt we'd be ok without him. A lot of tough breaks at CB this year. Shields was a hell of a player. Tough loss. Heyward just hit his peak too. TT missed on that.
