Maybe someone can explain to me, but why do we go empty backfield when we are running well? Wouldn't it make sense to put a guy there and at least insert some doubt as to whether we are going to run or pass on 1st down?

They have Montgomery on the field. Defense thinks we have a RB. It forces them to play base.

Well, MM will probably put him in the doghouse for the rest of the season. But I say get past it, he runs well.
