The fuller details of what happened were published late yesterday. It's probable that many of the players had a skewed view of what happened that night. Maybe many players were shocked by the report.

For sure the release of those details made it a nickle-plated certainty that the public would turn against the team in a big way. If they persisted with a boycott, their coach would be fired and have trouble getting hired anywhere else. The football program was headed for a shutdown.

I suspect there are more than 10 players who knew what was happening and did nothing. They should be suspended too, IMO. But it looks like the whole situation is moving to a better place, lessons are being learned.

I am bothered that players got suspended and publicly identified before a full appeals process took place.

Disgusting behavior, yes. Criminal, probably. Convict-able, doubtful. The team handled it well. Basically said, criminal or not, you were all animals and we are suspending you. The young lady in question hopefully will never allow herself in that position again.

It would also be nice if we lived in a society where someone had stepped up and said this needs to stop.

I did, lol. I've done all the sleezy shit you see on TV. I've gotten drunk, did cocaine, acid, pills and weed. I've had one night stands, fucked a couple prostitutes, and gotten a handy at an Asian massage parlor. I've also been married, divorced and am now with a woman I love and will probably marry.

I guess you could say I've learned lot of lessons the hard way. I went out and lived the trashy, dirt bag liberal Hollywood lifestyle and I can say for this person, it's a total pile of shit, scum bag lifestyle with results that match.

If that makes me a crotchety 35 year old, whatever, but I think the liberal rationalization and promotion of disgusting lifestyles and immorality is a real drain on society. I reject that filthy ideology in every way.

Well I am glad you are in a better place. Good for you.

But I don't know many people (liberals or otherwise) who promote prostitution, cocaine, acid and pills. That's not to say they don't have advocates, but they are pretty widely spaced and don't see much time on TV. Weed and alcohol are different of course, long the choice of American vice enthusiasts if we look past tobacco for the moment. You could always go back to read Hunter S Thompson, Leary or Burroughs I suppose.

And I also doubt that many would enthusiastically support the lifestyle you previously lived. Most would probably applaud your healthier choices much more.

But you are probably right that many liberals would find your summary judgement against the woman for agreeing to a gang bang to be troubling. The crime was assault related, not moral turpitude. I am of the opinion that people actually change very little. Mankind's vices weren't invented in 1962. Modern communication technology, however, makes it possible to be aware at all times and from all corners of the globe, every failing that mankind is capable of. I don't think people have quite come to terms with what that means to their perception.

The woman's judgement about whom to trust was poor, dangerously so. But poor judgement doesn't absolve others of their crimes.

Like yeah, running around acting all reckless and stupid doesn't mean the victim deserved their ass kickibg and shouldn't be protected by the law if a physical assault happens. Rape is not the product of reckless lifestyles. College students have been drinking into the wee hours and pawing each other since, well, everyone's memory. Rape is caused by an idiot mindset in some men.

You've been blaming the culture you abhor on liberals. There is nothing liberal about rape. In fact it is young liberals that are trying to do something about the problem. Conservatives are just as twisted as liberals. Some have even been known to grab um by the pussy when the opportunity presents itself.

College students are far more liberal than anything I ever embraced. They also have sex a lot less than any generation in memory. And they are the first generation to focus on preventing date rape, long overdue.

I agree that porn is subversive. Do you watch porn? I suspect all the portrayal of "running a train" makes a gang bang possibility look acceptable.
