  • The Official Packers - Bears Gameday Thread, Act II

Aaron Rodgers promised a run to end the season and we are now at the mid-point, three down three to go.

With a chance to tie the all time series at, a lot - a lot - 4, the Packers will finally draw even.

21 -13 Packers in a game that isn't as close as the final score as the weather keeps scoring down.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

All right guys, you need to carry this thread home. I am going up to Lacrosse to watch my niece graduate from college today. I'll be listening on the radio and on TV at the restaurant but won't be able to post.

        Going to work today.

        I'll be listening on WTMJ.

Pack is playing with more confidence, weather is a concern as I don't know how well Montgomery will do in these conditions and throwing will be tough.

        Kicking will be iffy, too.

        But Pack wins.

Packers defense getting healthier. And they've been decent when healthy. Strange things can happen at Soldier Field, but the Packers will take care of business.

          Bears 13

At least its not Badgers versus freaking Northwestern.

              Packers 27 Bears 13

I a continually amazed at the things people put on the schedule without thinking of the Packers game.

              Or flex scheduling.

Its 8 degrees in Chicago right now, 8 forecast at kickoff and 3-5 degrees at game end.

Wonder if its colder at the Lake?

wunderground, where you can pick the reporting station you want to read about, has a weather station that it calls the South Loop. Its a block due west of the Stadium.

Weather Underground provides local & long-range weather forecasts, weather reports, maps & tropical weather conditions for locations worldwide

Says its 7.1 degrees right now. All stations in area are between 7-10.

Packers win. Twenty-something to 13 sounds about right. Playing football in this kind of weather is a joke. Hopefully, it will be entertaining.
One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

i know around here, the big lake actually keeps the area warmer until it freezes over

if we are the team that we showed last week, then this should be an easy win

can't afford a let up here, a loss plus a lions win and we're pretty much done

Again, this team is unpredictable. Everybody thinks this one's a win, but . . .

That's usually the case in Chicago too. Usually warmer near the lake in cold weather. At any rate, wind will be the biggest factor, not the air temperature.
