  • The Official Packers - Lions Gameday Thread, Act 2

We've made it to the last week of the season and are playing the Lions for the NFC North title. Something almost unthinkable 6 weeks ago. Our fearless QB ARod knew it was coming and guaranteed a 6 streak ride.

As poor as the Packer D has been playing the Lion D is even worse. I actually feel bad for the kitties facing ARod during his amazing MVP quality run of play.

    Packers 38 - Lions 27
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

    WOO-HOO!

Run the table. Packers win 31-18
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

The ride to Houston continues unabated.

      Stubby goes into "run" mode.

One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

Last second interception foils a valiant Detroit comeback.

I've watched Detroit be very resilient in the fourth quarter this year. Lots of comebacks, lots of toughness in the fourth quarter. Conversely, I've watched the Packers melt like butter in the fourth quarter of many games this year. Detroit jumps out early, Green Bay claws back, butStafford does it again at the end of the game, and threads spring up everywhere tomorrow asking who, exactly, should be fired.

There's never a wrong thread for such a comment.

I'm telling you, Detroit and Green Bay are mirror teams, but Detroit's at home and they're comfortable in the fourth quarter of a close game.

Excuse the broken record, but Packers had 8 days of rest, Loins 6.
You balance that with fact that Pack have Ford Field Phobia. Packers win by exactly 3 points.

I have a gut feeling this is going to be yet another one of those games where the defense shits the bed.

This will be now just a very interesting game to watch with no threat of not making the playoffs.

Six games ago it did not look very likely that two NFCN Teams would be in the Playoffs.

I believe the Pack will get it done this evening and win another NFCN Title.
