The guy gets a lot of flack, at times deservedly so, but the man is one hell of a football coach. His tactical decisions at times are puzzling but his ability to connect with 53 athletes and his longer-term strategic abilities have to be acknowledged. Coaching is an exercise in EQ + IQ. I submit that the man knows how to connect with his team.

M3 is not Belichick, but he is not as far. 4 NFCCGs now. 2 in the last 3 years.

    Not too fucking bad, coach.

No, it doesn't count, because, well, you know, cuz, um, it doesn't. And it's proof that he should sign many more FAs,!

Not to make excuses but Matthews was getting held all day.

We nearly lost (and if Dallas doesn't spike it for some reason with 50 seconds left, we probably do lose this game) because of it. In the most important drive of the game, I feel MM let us down settling for a 56 yard field goal. Yes, I give him a zero for that. His old tendencies still leak through at times. He did a great job until those 2 run plays.

Dallas spikes it there to try and score a TD to win in regulation. They weren't playing for a FG until we got the stop on 3rd down.
But Rodgers leads the league in frumpy expressions and negative body language on the sideline, which makes him, like Josh Allen, a unique double threat.

No, I think Cook is at this point, since Jordy is down a couple ribs and at least two of our other WRs seem to always tweak something every game. Without Cook, I can't see how this running challenged offense would be able to compete.

I agree. Stubby gets such a hard-on last week that he goes for it foolishly on his own side of the field in a one score game...when there was NO REWARD for doing so. However, in this case, when the reward for doing so is winning a road divisional playoff game, he tucks his Stubby between his legs and decides to become more conservative than Strom Thurmond and nearly trashed the team's chances of winning. He better buy Mason Crosby a nice piece of Montana (or whatever state he choses) after this one.

Stubby was sure the Cowboys wouldn't think we'd do it again after the failure of last week.

I don't think a spike was necessary. They could have just run another play. They had plenty of time. The spike cost them what proved to be a crucial down.

Those Cowboys were a grabby bunch all game long.

He was open but Rodgers and he seemed to disagree how to attack Cover 2. There were three throws (one intercepted) that Adams went one way and Rodgers another. I am pretty sure that INT was a scramble drill decision.

Not sure about the other two.

Would have loved 5 more yards to burn away another TO and get Mason closer.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

This was seriously dumb at the time and it still is. They're still holding that last TO right now (ignore that they used it to ice an iceblooded demon in Crosby), and it doesn't matter because they're out of the playoffs.
