So it's the Patriots vs. the Redcoats...er, Red jerseys. Make of that what you will.

Alex Mack to try to play with broken fibula.

One source said that if this were the regular season, Mack could miss six to eight weeks, and the fact that's he's playing Sunday is a big concern among the Falcons.

The Falcons' staff is confident Mack will hold up in pass-blocking, but is uncertain whether he will be effective on downfield blocks or whether his leg will hold up. Mack didn't practice the week after the NFC Championship Game, then was limited in practice this past week.

To be fair, New England probably has six guys who are hurt but they aren't reporting on.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Yes I'm sure the Pats must be cheating. It couldn't be superior coaching, roster moves and play.

HOUSTON -- The explosive offenses of the Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots will play Super Bowl LI on an indoor track.

The NFL announced the retractable roof at NRG Stadium will remain closed.

It's currently mostly cloudy and 75 degrees in Houston. The forecast did call for a slight chance of rain (15 percent) before kickoff, and minute chances (5-10 percent) during the game.

Tom Brady and Matt Ryan can both take advantage of the element-free conditions in what could be a high-scoring affair.
There was an article about how the last time the SB was played here (2004), it became extremely hot in the stadium. Closed roof combined with lights and a 4 hour game made it a sauna. Cramping could be an issue.

The New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons announced their inactives for Super Bowl LI.

            Neither team issued any surprises.

For the Patriots, wide receiver Michael Floyd, cornerback Cyrus Jones, cornerback Justin Coleman, offensive tackle LaAdrian Waddle, running back D.J. Foster, quarterback Jacoby Brissett, safety Jordan Richards won’t dress.

Nick Williams, Terron War, Blidi Wreh-Wilson, Dashon Goldson, Josh Keyes, Wes Schweitzer and DJ Tialavea will be inactive for Atlanta.

That means defensive tackle Vincent Valentine will play for New England, as will wide receiver Julio Jones and center Alex Mack for the Falcons.

Of course if they honored all white players it would be terrible. But if they honor all the black HOF'ers it's just fine?

Very nice start for Atlanta - 3 and out on defense, then a nice long run by Freeman. If they could've come away with points it would've been perfect.

Atlanta pass rush saved that play. Deep middle vertical was wide open

Deion Jones is a dimension the Packers could use.

They could also use Alan Branch"s QB awareness.

Schefter: Streak lives: for the seventh-straight, Belichick-Brady Super Bowl, the Patriots fail to score a single first-quarter point.

DB turns around he might intercept but was lost.
