  • 2018 Draft Compensatory Picks

    From Rob Demovsky: http://www.espn.com/blog/green-bay-p...xt-years-draft

A third-rounder for losing guard T.J. Lang, who signed with the Detroit Lions

A fifth-rounder for center JC Tretter, who signed with the Cleveland Browns

A sixth-rounder for tight end Jared Cook, who signed with the Oakland Raiders

A sixth-rounder for running back Eddie Lacy, who signed with the Seattle Seahawks

Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Who would have thought a few years ago that losing J.C. Tretter would get you a high comp pick than losing Eddie Lacy?
    I can't run no more
    With that lawless crowd
While the killers in high places
    Say their prayers out loud
But they've summoned, they've summoned up
    A thundercloud
They're going to hear from me - Leonard Cohen

I'll take Jahri Evans, a third round pick, and the difference in cap room for T.J. Lang any day of the week.
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

That's really how you've got to look at it, isn't it? It's not about this one guy, it's about what production you can get from what position at what cost, and how difficult it is to find a replacement for that production.
