Wow does the NFL have a hard-on about going after this guy.
I guess after the embarrassment of the Starcaps case (P. Williams retiring before they could punish him) and their recent success in the Brady case, it is no surprise they are pressing the advantage.--
Imagine for a moment a world without hypothetical situations...

i hear ya. one other thing...a bad record for the boys put them in position to get another no-brainer draft pick. they're stacked already. the last thing i want to see is them getting even stronger.Originally posted by hoosier View PostThe Elliot suspension may work against the GBP because it means the Eagles are now a favorite to sweep their division. If they do that they will be a good bet to finish 13-3 or better. The only games where they won't be heavy favorites, aside from @Dall, will be Denver, @Rams and @Sea.

In an alternate universe, Goodell amended the hearing process (and the personal conduct policy) with the agreement of the NFLPA and had actual, published guidelines.Originally posted by Joemailman View PostHe's baaaack! http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...y-this-weekend
Then this would be over much more quickly.Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Please. Any player caught on the wrong side of this would still fight it through the courts, even if the NFLPA agreed with the process. No player wants to lose a check for getting caught or behaving poorly, so they'd fight it regardless.Originally posted by pbmax View PostIn an alternate universe, Goodell amended the hearing process (and the personal conduct policy) with the agreement of the NFLPA and had actual, published guidelines.

Of course. And a player like Brady has the cash to finance the whole thing himself.Originally posted by Smidgeon View PostPlease. But if the NFLPA is holding up its end of the CBA, which they are not willing to do for the Personal Conduct Policy now as Goodell is enforcing it, half of your lawsuits go away.
As does money for lawyers and court proceedings. And not every player has Brady's resources.
Not to mention a process and hearing that is perceived to be fair among participants is going to generate fewer long term complaints. In fact, if it becomes more common to accept the decision, then more and more players will cease to litigate. Even now, most players don't end up in Federal Court.
Same goes for player safety. But Goodell is too dumb to learn a lesson others have tried to impart.Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Finally.
The Dallas Cowboys simply suck this up and get him back for likely a possible good Playoff Run.** Since 2006 3 X Pro Pickem' Champion; 4 X Runner-Up and 3 X 3rd place.
