Playing the ball isn't an automatic free pass. Incidental contact while playing the ball is allowed but you can't look towards the ball and catapult into the receiver.Originally posted by Harlan Huckleby View PostI'm not sure about that. Refs aren't going to call a guy who looks like he is playing the ball.

Fat Stubby Moron! One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

MM has a love affair with calling timeouts for the opposing team inside of 1 minute. I'd love to see the stats on this and how rarely it helps us. Not sure why no one brings up to him that it doesn't help us.Originally posted by Fritz View PostAgreed. I completely blame MM for the field goal. What did he think would happen on third and two? He opened the door for Seattle and made it harder for his team in the second half.

Funny how Buck and Aikman often miss the ones that don't go for the Packers. Extremely obvious. Pretty bad officiating in this game. Aren't these refs full-time now?Originally posted by ThunderDan View PostHolding on Mathews not called.
I was going to complain about McCarthy's strategy, but everybody beat me to it. The first timeout was alright, I guess. At 3rd and 3 (very makeable), just let it go."There's a lot of interest in the draft. It's great. But quite frankly, most of the people that are commenting on it don't know anything about what they are talking about."--Ted Thompson

D needs to figure out what they were doing with Doug Baldwin on a crossing route. They weren't within five yards.Originally posted by red View Postthats all on the coach
he gave them life, he gave them points
he needs to go in and apologize to the d for fucking up their great halfBud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

You are right. The sportswriters seem to give him a pass on this.Originally posted by channtheman View PostMM has a love affair with calling timeouts for the opposing team inside of 1 minute. Does anyone else think that maybe that interception got Arod spooked. Geez, throw the damn ball. One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." The first TO was just as bad. He called it to argue a non called penalty. How fucking often does that work? When is the last time you seen a ref go, oh you are right let me throw a flag?Originally posted by HarveyWallbangers View PostFunny how Buck and Aikman often miss the ones that don't go for the Packers.
