The offense is completely dysfunctional.

I agree. Even with bunches and a few crossing routes plus actual TEs, the O game plans so far have been pretty pathetic. Only first drive of games seems remotely effective.

The lions looked to have scored a game winning to with 8 seconds left in the game. The play was reviewed, and they determined he was down on the 3 inch line.

Because the clock was stopped because of the TD call, and because the play was overturned, there was a mandatory 10 second run off.

You may be right. Small sample, and backups at quite a few very important positions will do that.
