as for mase, i'll say the same thing i did in the game thread. any golfers knows what happens when you set up to a shot, start to make your backswing, and in the middle of you down swing the wind picks up and moves the ball a quarter inch, you're gonna fuck up your shot

the snap and hold have to be perfect, and not just look perfect, the timing has to be perfect. if the holder has to take an extra .08 seconds to get the ball down, that fucks up the timing

if mason starts his approach, and then sees something isn't right with the snap, he first has to figure up if the holder is gonna be able to fix the problem, then he has to adjust to the problem to slow his approach. he has to figure all this out while taking 1 step

now go back to the golf analogy. take away the ball. you have to set up for your shot, and start your swing, and someone else will roll the ball to the spot where you want it. you don't know when, you don't know exactly where it will be. but you have to figure it all out while you're swinging. go see how that works out
