I thought he played a pretty good game until the end, though. Those last 8 minutes were brutal.

    • I love Heath Miller. 16 points for my fantasy team, tonight. Of course 6 of those points were invalid, but I like to think that Batch would of thrown it to Miller on the next play for a TD, anyway.

      • The guy I faced didn't play Miller. I laughed and kissed my computer screen after he "scored" that td.

        • Miller looked like he needed an oil change by the end of that run.

I liked that little celebration by Joey Porter after the sack - imitated and mocked Culpepper's celebration. It was actually pretty funny!

I almost substitued Marcus Pollard for Miller at the last minute. Man, am I glad I didn't do that!

            • Notice Zach Thomas getting burned on that catch. He couldn't catch Heath Miller. Even the good ones get burned, blocked, schooled. That was just a really brutal one for Thomas.

They just ran an Agassi/Blake tennis commercial right after the game. Primetime at the open, presented by American Express.

I think I got 12 pts for my Pittburgh D tonight. That's decent.

                      • Good game a lot better than I thought Pitt would be with Batch starting, Heath Miller is going to be a game breaking this year. Wish I would've started him or Mcmichael. Damn that hurts. lol

He's been doing it for years. When things go bad, it snowballs with him. When things are rolling he looks like a HOF'er. That's just how it is.
He makes a mistake then starts making worse ones....that's just how it is.....100% of the time? No, but way way more often than most everyone else. I've actually seen every single pro game he played in, including the Phins preseason and last nights game. It's just the way he is. He gets your hopes up then crushes them when advesity strikes. I thought he played really well in spots, dumped the ball off well during blitzes....but in the end...well, you saw it.

I don't know. Viking fans act like he's a stiff and complete choker. He had some GREAT years in Minnesota, but many of those years he had horrible defenses to work with. He was only really poor in 2002 and the first half of 2005. I'd take a QB with seasons of 33 TDs/16 interceptions; 25 TDs/11 interceptions; 39 TDs/11 interceptions--and that doesn't even take into account his 450 rushing yards and 6 rushing TDs/season.

I think he's going to do very well in Miami. That defense will lift a big burden off him. He has a lot of weapons in Brown, Chambers, Booker, and McMichael too.
Harv, I suppose you'll tell me I'm wrong too. But Culpepper did exactly what I expected last night. He has good games, but never pulls a team through in the end. You talk about his great years, but he had Carter and Moss and a great OL. What he has now does not compare. Lots of QB's can look good with those types around them. Look how most of the QB's during Green's tenure with MN did. All good. He fumbles alot, will make bad decisions, and now after watching last night you can see how he will protect his knee by just falling down after getting touched. No more fighting through arm tackles.

                              • We'll see. Come talk to me at the end of the season. He finally has a defense and supporting cast where maybe he doesn't feel like he has to carry the team. That's worked for him in the past--when he had Randy Moss. Cris Carter? That guy hasn't played for the Vikings since 2001. Daunte had most of his best years after Carter retired. I'm not going to write the guy off after a year layoff playing against the Steelers. They've made a lot of good QBs look bad. I've always been a Pepper pimp. He's made the Packers look foolish over the years. His numbers against Green Bay are absurd, so I'm glad he's out of the division.
