This is the kind of deep insight that makes Packerrats the international 'go to' destination for Green Bay Packers analysis.

That was a sad moment in Packer history. Ted "The Mad Stork" was probably the most dominant pass rusher I have ever seen in the NFL, at least for one season or so. He was unstoppable, and I think he might even have had an interception or two, due to his tremendous height. But he did not want to play in Green Bay, and I think the Packers botched trying to re-sign him. What a shame.

That short term (1974) Green Bay Packer was 'the Real Deal' at the LBer Position..

Ted "The Mad Stork" Hendricks wore Green Bay Packer jersey no. 56 and had one of his best seasons.

He managed all this as a Packer:

Five interceptions, seven blocked kicks (3 field goals, 3 punts and 1 extra point) and a safety, two sacks, 75 tackles, and two knocked down passes and earning consensus All-Pro honors.

After the WFL went bankrupt... Al Davis the Owner of the Oakland Raiders sent two first round draft choices to the Green Bay Packers for the rights to Ted 'The Mad Stork' Hendricks ............. (Ohh No !) ......... and signed him as a limited free agent and his outstanding HOFer Career resumed.

Hendricks was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1990, his second year of eligibility.

In 1999, he was ranked number 64 on The Sporting News' list of the 100 Greatest Football Players.

He currently works on behalf of ex-players as part of the Hall of Fame Player's Association. He also was named as one of the members of the NFL's all time 75th anniversary team in 1994. NFL Network's "Top 100: NFL's Greatest Players" named him the 82nd greatest NFL player of all time.

I finally got this after a week of wondering what the hell you were talking about.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.
