I usually see "possession" attributed to WRs who can't get separation, but can reliably hold onto a contested catch or eke out a first down. Jordy always struck me as fast, but not twitchy. I'm sure he's more lanky-strong than broad-bodied to pull down a ball in coverage.

I predict he'll be used as a field-stretcher (and unintentional decoy), rather than a guy who brings up the chain crew after third-and-medium.

I predict Jordy has a better season than Adams.

You just keep on being you!

You might end up being right, but it will depend on concussions...

Jordy doesn't make it through the full season as a starter
Swede: My expertise in this area is extensive. The essential difference between a "battleship" and an "aircraft carrier" is that an aircraft carrier requires five direct hits to sink, but it takes only four direct hits to sink a battleship.

Jordy was a great player, but last season he struggled to separate and offered little after the catch. Maybe they can milk something out of him, and maybe he looks good for the 1st 4 games of the season, but I think he'll fade down the stretch...and the depth chart. I'm guessing they wanted him to mentor Amari. The fact they traded a R3 pick for Martavius Bryant after signing Jordy tells me it's no given Jordy is a 16 game starter.

I would expect Adams to have better numbers, APRH. He's an ascending player and the closest thing GB has to a #1 WR.

Personally, I think comparing Jordy to Cobb this season will be more interesting, since all the discussion was over which of the two GB should keep.

When the Packers had a QB, he had 6 TD's in 5 games, and averaged > 10 YPC. He doesn't have the quickness of other receivers to make a long gain when the pass is at the line of scrimage (Hundley's specialty). He doesn't have what it takes to beat double teams, and will struggle when a CB doesn't have to respect getting beat deep (because the QB has no deep ball). I'm not saying Jordy will go back to his pro bowl ways, but I expect he will be a solid receiver for Oakland this year. Regardless, it still may well prove to be the correct move for the Packers to cut him.

My Canadian source (ScoreMobile app) thinks it's possible Jordy gets a 4-game head start on Martavius Bryant.

I attended a couple of games last season. J-Nel was open plenty. The Hun couldn’t or wouldn’t throw throw J-Nel the rock. Also, anyone with Game Pass, watch the coaches film - Often, J-Nel was more open than a black hole.

Talks about J-Nel not being able to separate anymore are nothing but white noises.

If Gruden could milk a 1000 yard season out of Keyshawn Johnson, no reason he can’t do the same with J-Nel. Chucky’s WCO is extremely WR-friendly.

I said before that Nelson will probably be more like Jurevicius in that offense - if that's what Gruden runs...

That’s racist, yo. That’s like saying Em is a rich man’s V-Ice, when in truth, Em is the Aryan race’s version of Dre.

I don’t think the German Shepherd erred in cutting Jordy, as I love the Jimmy G acquisition. But while J-Nel no longer shines as bright as he once did in his youth, he’s not exactly a white or black dwarf either.

Agree with this. I think he will be solid, but I don't think he'll be irreplaceable. The WR roster has better depth than 2015.
