Note : most of these guys are not the really big names (besides Landry) getting bandied about on every site.

- Leighton Vander Esch, Lb, Boise State : This should be our bit-of-a-surprise pick at 14. Would bring a toughness & athleticism to the middle of Pettine's new D. Super instinctive. Is flying a bit under the radar because he is coming out of Boise State. Super instinctive. Knows how to defend the middle against the pass and is quick to stop the run. If you watch his tape, there's a definite similarity with Brian Urlacher.

- Harold Landry, Edge, Boston College : You all know about him already. A player, not a development project.

- Justin Watson, WE, Pennsylvania : Almost 6'3''. Great hands. Knows how to get separation. Not a burner, but an excellent route runner.

- Isaac Yiadon, CB, Boston College : Good size, instinctive. Plays the ball well.

- Kyle Lauletta, QB, Richmond : Productive, smooth. Knows how to go through progressions. Nice mechanics. Nice arm strength. Plays his best a big moments.

- Brian O'Neill, T, Pittsburgh : Tough, smart, on-the-rise player. Can be effective in space.

- Frank Ragnow, C, Arkansas : Smart, dependable, really nice pass AND run blocker. Can get out in space & be effective.

How great of a draft would it be if they found a way to get LVE and Landry?

I like most of these guys, but I feel like Lauletta is regarded as a sleeper so much that he might be overrated at this point. Logan Woodside is a deep sleeper at QB that I like. It's hard to evaluate Watson because I didn't see much film available on him. O'Neill tested great. I haven't really watched him yet, but my concern is that he's another Jason Spriggs.

I've just started to scout Yiadon... will look at him some more, then decide.

Been mainly looking at WR, CB, and Edge/LB. Has anyone heard anything about Holton Hill?? Is he even draftable?? Talent wise he's a first rounder.

I watched Hill. I can't say that he stood out to me. Thought he looked decent, somebody worthing spending a 3rd-4th round pick on. Maybe I need to take another look. I thought I read there are character concerns with him, so I kind of wrote him off.

Holton Hill has a lot of red flags, character-wise. Plus, he seems very 'handsy', ala Ahmad Carroll.

Courtland Sutton, WR, SMU

Sutton dominated at the collegiate level with a blend of size (6' 4", 220 lbs.) and athleticism. He's a contested-catch specialist and he has the raw tools to become a No. 1 WR. He'll come into the NFL Raw.


D.J. Moore, WR, Maryland

The Big Ten’s receiver of the year in 2017 despite Maryland’s constant revolving door at quarterback,

He has the quickness and burst out of his cuts to separate underneath He has the speed to take the top off a defense. He’s small (5' 11", 215 lbs.), but competitive downfield and plays bigger than his size.

He could fit as a starter on the outside or in the slot, and Think - Golden Tate

Jaire Alexander, CB, Louisville

He battled a knee injury for most of last season When healthy Alexander is a quick, aggressive, ball-hawking corner who is at his best playing off coverage and breaking on the ball.

While undersized, he held his own against bigger receivers downfield as well.


James Washington, WR, Oklahoma St.

He ran a limited route tree in Oklahoma State’s Air Raid offense, but he has downfield ability.

He’s quick off the line of scrimmage and consistently beats the jam, with the quickness to accelerate past cornerbacks and the long speed to threaten downfield.

He’s competitive in jump ball situations, allowing him to play bigger than his listed size (5' 11", 210 lbs.).


Deon Cain, WR, Clemson

Cain didn’t have the breakout season some expected as he didn't benefit from a capable passer after the downgrade from Deshaun Watson to Kelly Bryant .

Cain was a high school quarterback himself and he's athletic He offers big upside due to his combination of good size (6' 1", 200 lbs.), easy speed and knack for tracking the ball downfield.
