LOS ANGELES, Wis. (WBAY) - A Green Bay Packers WR was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport for making a joke about explosives.
Trevor Davis is facing a charge of making criminal threats, according to ESPN reporter and Cover 2 contributor Rob Demovsky.
TMZ Sports first reported the news. The report states Davis was at the Hawaiian Airlines ticket counter Sunday and being asked security questions.
Davis reportedly asked his traveling companion, "Did you remember to pack the explosives?"
Airport staff did not take that comment lightly and called police.
The 24-year-old posted a $15,000 bond and was released from jail. He has a court hearing scheduled for May 3.
Demovsky received the following statement from the Packers:
“The Packers are aware of the matter involving Trevor Davis. We are in the process of gathering more information and will refrain from making any further comment as it is an ongoing legal matter.”
