i haven't even found a site that had him as the best punter in the draft

besides that. YOU NEVER DRAFT PUNTERS or KICKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • On the plus side, if there is one, Saban and Alabama are one college operation that can probably prep a kicker for the Pros.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

      • Bears got Fitts.
One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

        • Colts got WR Cain (no big loss there, IMO).

          • You don’t get impact players in rounds 4-7. What you get are projects, special teamers , practice squad guys...and kickers. If you didn’t get your starter-types in the first couple of rounds, you’re not getting one. The reason we took two CBs was because we failed in the off-season. Had we picked up one of the 7 or 8 starter quality CBs in free agency, we would have drafted edge rushers, WRs, or OL at the top of the draft. We didn’t use free agency to fill holes like I thought the new guy would.

We used our available money to pick up a 31 year old TE and 2 or 3 scrubs (maybe the DL will be a plus). At this point, I don’t see how this roster is equal to last season’s roster at this time last year. Ok i’m Off my soapbox.

              +1

Edit: I reserve the right to be completely pleased with this draft next January and bitch at Red and Beveaux for being so negative. hahahahaha

              • they said the kid has a huge leg and can kick for time or distance ("As a true freshman, Scott led the nation in gross punting average with 48 yards per kick") and playing in the SEC will certainly have prepped him, but like all P's he'll have to adjust his footwork for the pros.

Between Davis, Clark, Yancey, Moore, and Valdes-Scantling they should be able to find someone to play #4 WR and special teams. I would've preferred that St.Brown kid at WR to this scantling guy.

I rarely watch college football and am not a scout, so who the hell knows if this draft will be a dud or not. The "experts" said it was not a great year for edge rushers, so maybe that's why they didn't pick one yet.
I haven't decided if this is a draft feels more TT or MikeSherman.

It's rare for a rookie Day 3 pick to make an impact anyway.

Sitton. Bakhtiari. Lang. Those are three that spring to mind who were drafted in the fourth.

                    Overview

Height, weight, speed prospect with intriguing deep ball capabilities as a big field stretcher. Valdes-Scantling is a work in progress who hasn't learned how to create leverage within his linear routes and doesn't have the ball skills he will need to win downfield. He's probably not ready to help a team just yet, but his issues may be correctable so he's worth a Day 3 selection as a stash-and-coach prospect.

We have had tremendous success drafting linemen in the 4th round. I was speaking in general. Unfortunately, we didn’t take a lineman in the 4th. Hopefully, our tremendous OL coach will help us with the 5throunder.

Do you think he can do 'bad ass' like Brad Pitt?

If you didn’t get your starter-types in the first couple of rounds, you’re not getting one. The reason we took two CBs was because T.T. failed with his DB picks, Shields didn't last as expected, and Capers sucked!

That's more my take on the situation although I still have hopes for King and Jones. Randall and Rollins picks, HaHa not playing up to his draft position, letting Hayward go, and Shields getting hurt were the killers.

Madison looks like he might be better than anyone we have on the roster now that's under 35 years old. hahaha
